Executive CommitteeThe Executive Committee is the governing body of the Partnership and is responsible for overall development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of the Connecticut Multicultural Health Partnership Strategic Plan. It consists of elected Officers and Standing Committee Chairs/Co-Chairs who manage the work of the Partnership in pursuit of its mission.

Standing Committees are responsible for the development of an annual action plan consistent with the Partnership’s Strategic Plan and budgets based on Committee member input and Executive Committee approval.

Awareness & Outreach Committee
Enhance the public’s knowledge of health disparities, social determinants of health, and other multicultural health issues through education and community outreach.

Communication & Media Committee
Promote and brand the Multicultural Health Partnership with a special focus on goal areas: Cultural competency; Language proficiency; Access to quality health care and health education; Workforce development. This committee will use an integrated multimedia platform tailored to reach diverse and general market populations.

Consumer Driven Initiatives Committee
Enhance access to health care and health education for all residents especially those representing race and ethnic groups where health disparities disproportionately exist.

Data Surveillance & Evaluation Committee
Provide access to relevant data and surveillance reports. Evaluate processes and outcomes of the Connecticut Multicultural Health Partnership Strategic Plan to develop and implement CLAS Standards.

Ensure that language is not a barrier to the receipt of appropriate health care and health education through the promotion of language proficiency in the written and spoken communications of health professionals and organizations.

Professional Development Committee
Enhance the cross-cultural skills of public health and health care professionals
Expand the opportunities for diverse, under-represented individuals to advance in healthcare careers among workforce investment boards, educational institutions, business and industry, state agencies and community-based organizations.
