Language Services committee Co-Chairs, Francesco Pagano and Maritza Rosado and committee member Marisa Gillio will be attending the Praxis Project Learning Circles upcoming three day training being held in Maryland from October 13-16th at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland. This training is designed for participants to build their capacity to advance health justice in their communities. The overall goal of this training is to support community-led action for change by providing the right mix of interactive learning, hands-on experience, and participant networking.
As participants of this training, the Language Services committee will receive support from experienced organizers, develop action plans to support their work, forge networks, and build skills on Language justice issues. As an overarching goal, the committee aims to incorporate this training into a future workshop in Connecticut in support of the Partnership logic model, Objective 4, which is to increase awareness & acceptance of health disparities among Health Care Professionals and Organizations, Policy Makers and the General Public.
